  1. I’ll just study later.

Do what you can do now, as they say. And yes this is totally true. I’m sure you’re one of those people who always say “I’ll do it after 30 minutes” “I’ll eat first then study” or “I’ll go out first then study”, well drop it. Study now or study never.

  1. One more episode then I’ll study.

Don’t kid yourself. You know deep in your heart that it’s not gonna be one more or two or three. You’ll finish all of it. And when it consumes you, you’ll blame yourself for doing it in the first place. I’m here to save you from that agony. As much as possible, finish your K-drama series ahead of your exam or don’t start a K-drama at all. You have a very long time to do it when the semester ends. Just focus on studying now.

  1. I’ll just study hours before the exam.

Fan of cramming? Drop it. Studies show that people who study on a cramming situation tend to forget what they studied 20 minutes before the exam. As much as possible do study with intervals. Maybe, study a week before the exam. By that you can gain long term memory of the things you study. You will remember more.

  1. I’m not in the mood to study.

This is a sign of laziness. Just admit it, you’re lazy. Once you realize you are, didn’t get to study and got low grades, you will blame yourself again. Try to schedule your study time and stick to it. By that, you will be more organized and entitle to study at the specific time you enforce to yourself.

  1. My seat mate is smart. I’ll just copy his/her answers.

As much as possible, DON’T CHEAT. I know, I know. Cheating is very tempting. But keep in mind you always have the choice to not do so. Cheating is not fulfilling at all.

You’re a legend. You have the full control of your potential. If you let these excuses in your way, you’re most likely to fail. Drop them now!
